I used to have lots of negative thoughts. Ranging from “Why me”, “I’m such a horrible person”, “I’m so stupid”, to “I will never make it”, I will never live my dream”.

Sounds familiar?

It’s a lot less now than it was before but I still have these thoughts. But now I know it’s not my thoughts that make me feel bad. It’s not what I think that makes me feel bad.

The reason we have so many emotions.

Your emotions are your guidance system. They tell you whether or not you’re going in the right direction. Meaning, if you’re believing things that are true for you or not.

Feeling good is like your default state if you leave out everything that you THINK you are, like the role you play (mother, father, lover, employee, boss, entrepreneur), the things you do (skiing, riding horses, fishing, being an adventurer) and the thoughts you think (I’m amazing/a loser/significant/nothing, etc).

Being uneasy means you’ve stepped away from being your True Self. Who are you when you’re not your True Self? You’re then identified with your Persona, the “person” you created to deal with the expectations and demands of the physical world.

Being uneasy is a signal from your True Self to you to get yourself back in line with who you truly are. Being at ease is a signal that you are in line with who you truly are.
